Munich has no shortage of great spots—from traditional Bavarian beer halls and cozy cafés to modern bistros and international eateries—these are the ones we enjoyed most and think are worth a visit.

Bier gartens

We love going to Munich beer gardens because they’re all about good beer, tasty Bavarian snacks, and hanging out under chestnut trees with friends (and strangers!). There’s something magical about the relaxed, communal vibe where everyone’s sharing tables, laughs, and a giant Maß of locally brewed beer.

Day trips​

One of the best things about Munich is how easy it is to hop on a train and escape the city for a day—just grab a Bayern Ticket and you’re off! You can wander the Alps, sip fresh beer at hilltop monastery breweries, explore charming villages, or dive into WWII history—all without the stress of driving. It’s like having the perfect mix of nature, culture, and adventure right at your fingertips.
